    Double Michelin-Starred Chef Tom Sellers’ Story Continues to Evolve

    We take a look at Story Cellar - the new Parisian-inspired spot that offers rotisserie chicken and so much more

    The moment that so many in the London culinary scene have been waiting for with bated breath has finally arrived. Celebrated, Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers’ new venture, Story Cellar, has opened its doors for business and it’s causing a stir.

    The Parisian-inspired rotisserie-style restaurant is found in London’s Covent Garden and focuses on succulent rotisserie chicken and a vast accompaniment of fine wine. The space is cosy, predominantly allowing for counter dining with additional tables located downstairs by the wine cellar, and the overall feel of the space is far more casual than Sellers’ original venture, Restaurant Story.

    That being said, diners are sure to be blown away by Sellers and his team’s dedication to first-rate hospitality, exceptional food and fine wine, which is served by the Coravin system, thus allowing guests to try multiple options by the glass. The restaurant’s expansive cellar also allows guests to store their own wine collections on-site, to be cared for by the restaurant’s in-house sommelier.

    In terms of the food offering, those with concerns that the menu will be a little one-dimensional need not worry. While the main attraction is rotisserie chicken in various forms, guests are also given a selection of fancier options to choose from, including snail bolognese, mussels, Dorset crab, Dover sole and dry-age pork chops. A concise collection of house-cured charcuterie also provides a lighter option.

    Sellers’ personal story is one of intrigue and uniqueness. Expelled from school at just 16 years old, he began learning his trade in pub kitchens which is where his passion began to develop. Fast forward 10 years and Sellers had opened his own restaurant in central London, before winning his first of two Michelin stars within a year of trading.

    As his reputation continues to grow, so does his culinary offering, as he’s also recently announced the forthcoming opening of Dovetale, a contemporary eco–conscious project in Mayfair. Finding great Parisian-inspired cuisine outside of France can be a challenge. However, at Blend Group, we believe that you needn’t look any further than Tom Sellers’ Story Cellar.
