Discover Paris – the City of Light
When it comes to experiencing cities that emanate sophistication, culture, and high-end cuisine, here at Blend Group we don’t think there are too many options in the world that are more suitable than Paris. The city is famously aloof, boasting a proud history and heritage, as well as a highlights reel that includes the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and the Moulin Rouge.
Split into twenty districts, all of which have their own unique identity, this romantic and nuanced city has surprises around every corner and can be enjoyed in a multitude of ways. We of course are firmly of the opinion that it’s best consumed in luxurious fashion, taking in the city’s architecture, art, cuisine, and atmosphere along the way.
Where to stay
The City of Light is generous with its offering of luxury hotels, boasting an array of historic properties, as well as brand-new, contemporary arrivals. The bountiful and diverse luxury hotel scene has something to delight even those with the highest of standards which is why we are so confident when it comes to finding the perfect option for each of our bespoke, valued clients who visit the city.
One of our absolute favourite accommodations is the grand Le Meurice, a historic establishment that was first opened in 1835. With a guest list which has included Queen Victoria, Salvador Dali, and many more, Le Meurice has earned its nickname of ‘Hotel des Rois’ – the Hotel of Kings. In recent years, it became the first hotel in the world to be awarded official ‘Palace’ status and its culinary offerings have been placed in the exceptionally capable hands of 3 Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse.
Where to eat
One of the world’s leading ambassadors for high-end gastronomy, Paris is home to the most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs and renowned pâtissiers in the world. The city is fiercely proud of its reputation as an international capital of luxury cuisine and offers a vast array of high-quality dining options to ensure this historic reputation is upheld.
At Blend Group, we believe there are few better establishments than Monsieur Bleu, which is located within a historic museum and offers stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine from its sunny terrace. The restaurant recently undertook new ownership and offers French neo-bistro classics and an accompanying cocktail and champagne menu.
Also in contention as one of the finest eateries in Paris, is Girafe Restaurant. This upscale restaurant specialises in gourmet seafood dishes which can be enjoyed on a spectacular terrace with unrivalled Eiffel Tower views.
What to see
As we’ve mentioned, Paris is teeming with cultural, architectural, and artistic highlights but we think this autumn presents a unique opportunity to enjoy the French capital alongside Rugby World Cup. Taking place across September and October in several locations throughout the country, why not enjoy the magic of Paris alongside some world-class sporting and hospitality entertainment.
We’d love to hear from you here if this is something you’re interested in and would be delighted to organise all of your travel, accommodation and additional experiences in a truly bespoke manner.
